Tuna Tacos with Spicy Aioli are great any day, not just Tuesday

tuna tacos

You will love how quick and easy these tuna tacos are to prepare. The heat of the aioli is perfectly balanced with creamy avocado, and arugula keeps the taco feeling light and refreshing and leaves the tuna to take center stage.

Tuna steaks can be purchased fresh or frozen, and are on regular rotation in our kitchen. While some recipes call for canned tuna, I strongly encourage you to give our version a try. This tuna taco recipe really is as easy as it looks, and tastes fantastic. Watch the video below to see for yourself.

Tips for great Tuna Tacos

Tuna will move from medium to well done very fast and become dry if cooked for more than about 3 minutes on each side. Watch it carefully!

When making the Chipotle Aioli, adjust the amount of chipotle powder to your level of spiciness preferred. Feel free to start with 1/2 teaspoon first, and add more as you like.

I prefer Miracle Whip over mayonnaise, however, in this recipe you should definitely use mayonnaise. I made it both ways, and have to admit it was not as good with Miracle Whip.

In our video you will notice that we have made a type of seared tuna tacos. We do a quick flip during cooking and leave the inside nice and pink.

This sounds delicious and so very healthy. I see tuna steaks at my fish market all the time, but never really looked into recipes for them. I usually get the salmon steaks. But next time, I will buy tuna and try this recipe. Thank you. I love spicy mayo. Yum.
